The Believers (Al-Mu' minoon)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
۞ Prosperous are the believers 1 Who are humble in their prayers, 2 And who keep aloof from what is vain, 3 And those who pay the Zakat. 4 and who are mindful of their chastity, 5 Save from their wives or the (slaves) that their right hands possess, for then they are not blameworthy, 6 But those whose desires exceed those limits are transgressors;- 7 and who preserve their trusts and their covenant 8 And who guard their prayers. 9 these are the heirs 10 These are the heirs of Paradise wherein they will live forever. 11 Verily We created man from a product of wet earth; 12 Then We placed him as (a drop of) sperm in a place of rest, firmly fixed; 13 Then We fashioned the sperm into an embryo, then fashioned the embryo into a shapeless lump of flesh; then from the lump of flesh We fashioned bones, then clothed the bones with flesh. Thus We formed him into a new creation. So blessed be God the best of Creators. 14 After that you shall surely die, 15 Then verily on the Day of Judgment ye shall be raised up. 16 And We created above you seven ways, and We were not heedless of creation. 17 We sent down water from the sky in due measure and lodged it in the earth, but if We please, We have the power to take it away, 18 Then We cause to grow thereby gardens of palm trees and grapes for you; you have in them many fruits and from them do you eat; 19 And also a tree that springeth forth from mount Sinai, that groweth oil and is a sauce for the eaters. 20 And Verily! In the cattle there is indeed a lesson for you. We give you to drink (milk) of that which is in their bellies. And there are, in them, numerous (other) benefits for you, and of them you eat. 21 And on them, and on ships you are carried. 22
