Alshu'araa' 6 of 11

The people of Noah rejected the Messengerss. 105 When their brother Noah said unto them: Will ye not ward off (evil)? 106 I am for you an honest Messenger, 107 so serve you God, and obey you me. 108 And I do not ask you for it any payment. My payment is only from the Lord of the worlds. 109 so fear you God, and obey you me.' 110 ۞ They said: shall We believe in thee when the meanest follow thee? 111 He said, "What knowledge do I have of their doings? 112 Their reckoning rests with none but my Sustainer: if you could but understand [this]! 113 And I am not one to drive away the believers. 114 I am only a Prophet. 115 'Noah' they replied, 'if you do not desist you shall be of those stoned' 116 He said: my Lord! verily my people have belied me. 117 Therefor judge Thou between us, a (conclusive) judgment, and save me and those believers who are with me. 118 So We saved him and those with him in a laden ship. 119 Then after it, We drowned the rest. 120 Verily in this is a Sign: but most of them do not believe. 121 And verily thy Lord is He, the Exalted in Might, Most Merciful. 122
