The People of the Woods denied the Noble Messengers. 176 When Shu'ayb said to them, "Will you not fear Allah? 177 “I am indeed a trustworthy Noble Messenger of Allah to you.” 178 Have fear of God and obey me. 179 "No reward do I ask of you for it: my reward is only from the Lord of the Worlds. 180 ۞ Fill up the measure, do not be among the cheats, 181 Weigh with correct scales: 182 and do not defraud people in their property or spread evil in the land. 183 And keep your duty unto Him Who created you and the generations of the men of old. 184 They replied, "You are bewitched. 185 Thou art but a mortal like us, and lo! we deem thee of the liars. 186 So cause thou a fragment of the heaven to fall upon us, if thou art of the truth-tellers. 187 He said, “My Lord is Well Aware of what you do.” 188 But they cried him lies; then there seized them the chastisement of the Day of Shadow; assuredly it was the chastisement of a dreadful day. 189 Lo! herein is indeed a portent; yet most of them are not believers. 190 Surely thy Lord, He is the All-mighty, the All-compassionate. 191
