Indeed this is a revelation from the Lord of the Universe; 192 trustworthy divine inspiration has alighted with it from on high 193 Upon thy heart, that thou mayst be (one) of the warners, 194 In plain Arabic speech. 195 And most surely the same is in the scriptures of the ancients. 196 And has it not been a sign to them that it is recognized by the scholars of the Children of Israel? 197 If We had revealed it to a nonArab, 198 And he had recited it to them, and they had not believed (it would have been different). 199 Thus do We make it traverse the hearts of the guilty. 200 They will not believe in it until they see the painful punishment. 201 so that it will come upon them suddenly, while they are not aware, 202 Then they will say: are we to be respited? 203 Do they really want Our chastisement to be expedited? 204 What thinkest thou? If We give them enjoyment of days for many years, 205 And then there came to them that which they were promised? 206 what will it then avail them, the enjoyment of days they were given? 207 We never destroyed any habitation but that it had warners 208 for a reminder; and never did We wrong. 209 And it is not the Shayatin (devils) who have brought it (this Quran) down, 210 And it behoves them not, and they have not the power to do (it). 211 Truly, they are expelled from hearing. 212 So call thou not upon another god with God, lest thou shouldst be one of those that are chastised. 213 And warn your near relations, 214 and lower your wing to the believers who follow you. 215 If they disobey you, tell them, "I condemn your disobedient deeds". 216 Have trust in the Mighty, the Merciful, 217 who sees you when you stand up [for prayer], 218 And your turning over and over among those who prostrate themselves before Allah. 219 He is All-hearing and All-knowing." 220 Shall I declare unto you upon whom the satans descend! 221 They descend on every great accuser, extreme sinner. (The magicians) 222 (Into whose ears) they pour hearsay vanities, and most of them are liars. 223 And the Poets,- It is those straying in Evil, who follow them: 224 Hast thou not seen how they stray in every valley, 225 and how they say that which they do not? 226 Not so the true believers who do good works and remember God with fervour and defend themselves only after they are wronged. The wrongdoers will soon know how evil a turn their affairs will take. 227
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
