Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the loosed ones successively 1 And by the winds that blow violently, 2 Which scatter clouds to their destined places, 3 And by the Verses (of the Quran) that separate the right from the wrong. 4 and by those who reveal revelations (to the prophets) 5 To end all argument or to warn. 6 Most surely what you are threatened with must come to pass. 7 Then the stars will lose their light. 8 Heavens will rent asunder. 9 and the mountains scattered, 10 and when the messengers are brought together at the appointed time -- 11 To which Day has this task been deferred? 12 The Day of Judgement. 13 And what shall teach thee what is the Day of Decision? 14 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 15 Have We not destroyed the earlier generations? 16 Then caused the latter folk to follow after? 17 Even thus shall We deal with the guilty. 18 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth! 19 Created We you not of water despicable, 20 Then We placed it in a secure resting-place, 21 For a known period (determined by gestation)? 22 So We did measure, and We are the Best to measure (the things). 23 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 24 Did We not make the earth as a gathering place 25 the living and the dead? 26 And have placed therein firm, and tall mountains; and have given you to drink sweet water? 27 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 28 "Go to what you used to deny; 29 Depart unto the shadow falling threefold, 30 [But having] no cool shade and availing not against the flame." 31 Lo! it throweth up sparks like the castles, 32 as black camels. 33 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 34 that Day on which they will not [be able to] utter a word, 35 nor will they be allowed to proffer excuses. 36 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 37 'This is the Day of Decision; We have joined you with the ancients; 38 if you have a trick, try you now to trick Me!' 39 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 40
