The unbelievers say, 'What, when we are dust, and our fathers, shall we indeed be brought forth? 67 We were promised this before, and so were our fathers. It is but the fictitious story of the ancients' 68 Say: Travel in the earth, then see how was the end of the guilty. 69 Do not be sorry for them, nor be distressed for what they devise. 70 And they say: When will this threat come to pass, if you are truthful? 71 Say, “It could be that a part of what you are impatient for is (already) after you.” 72 Truly, your Lord is bountiful to mankind, but most of them are not grateful. 73 Verily your Lord knows what lies hidden in their breasts and what they disclose. 74 There is not a thing hidden in the heaven and earth except that it is in a Clear Book. 75 Verily, this Quran narrates to the Children of Israel most of that about which they differ. 76 It is a guide and mercy for the believers. 77 And verily thine Lord shall decide between them with His judgment, and He is the Mighty, the Knowing. 78 Therefore put your trust in Allah, for you are upon a clear truth. 79 [But,] verily, thou canst not make the dead hear: and [so, too,] thou canst not make the deaf [of heart] hear this call when they turn their backs [on thee] and go away, 80 Nor can you lead the blind out of their error, you can only make to hear those who believe in Our Ayat (proofs, evidences, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.), and who have submitted (themselves to Allah in Islam as Muslims). 81 ۞ And when the Word is fulfilled against them (the unjust), we shall produce from the earth a beast to (face) them: He will speak to them, for that mankind did not believe with assurance in Our Signs. 82
