Those who do not believe, say: "When we and our fathers have turned to dust, how shall we be raised again? 67 We have been promised this, we and our forefathers, before. This is not but legends of the former peoples." 68 Say, [O Muhammad], "Travel through the land and observe how was the end of the criminals." 69 Do not be sorry for them, nor be distressed for what they devise. 70 They ask, "When will this promise be fulfilled, if what you say be true?" 71 Say, “It could be that a part of what you are impatient for is (already) after you.” 72 Indeed Your Lord is exceedingly bountiful to mankind. Yet most of them do not give thanks. 73 And indeed your Lord knows what is hidden in their bosoms, and what they disclose. 74 And there is nothing hidden in the heaven and the earth, but is in a Clear Book (i.e. Al-Lauh Al-Mahfuz). 75 Verily this Qur'an doth explain to the Children of Israel most of the matters in which they disagree. 76 And lo! it is a guidance and a mercy for believers. 77 Surely your Lord will judge between them by his judgment, and He is the Mighty, the knowing. 78 So put your trust in Allah for you are on the manifest truth. 79 Verily, you cannot make the dead to hear (i.e. benefit them and similarly the disbelievers), nor can you make the deaf to hear the call, when they flee, turning their backs. 80 Nor can you be a guide to the blind out of their error; you cannot make to bear (any one) except those who believe in Our communications, so they submit. 81 ۞ And when the word shall come to pass against them, We shall bring forth for them a creature from the earth that shall wound them, because people did not believe in Our communications. 82
