In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
ALIF LAM MIM. 1 These are verses of the wise Book, 2 A guidance and mercy for the righteous 3 who are constant in prayer and dispense charity: for it is they, they who in their innermost are certain of the life to come! 4 These are on (true) guidance from their Lord: and these are the ones who will prosper. 5 But there are, among men, those who purchase idle tales, without knowledge (or meaning), to mislead (men) from the Path of Allah and throw ridicule (on the Path): for such there will be a Humiliating Penalty. 6 When Our verses are recited to him, he turns his back in pride, as though he never heard them, and in his ears was heaviness. Give glad tidings to him of a painful punishment! 7 Surely, those who believe and do good works shall enter gardens of bliss, 8 They shall abide in them forever. This is Allah's promise that shall come true. He is the Most Powerful, the Most Wise. 9 He created the heavens without any pillars visible to you and He placed mountains in the earth as pegs lest it should turn topsy turvy with you, and He dispersed all kinds of animals over the earth, and sent down water from the sky causing all kinds of excellent plants to grow on it. 10 this is God's creation. Show me then what those besides Him have created! The wrongdoers are in manifest error. 11
