1/2 Hizb 45
< random >
۞ Gather together those who were unjust and their associates, and what they used to worship 22 apart from God, and guide them unto the path of Hell! 23 And halt them so that they may be questioned. 24 What is the matter with you that you do not help each other? 25 They will submit to questioning then, 26 And they will turn to one another and question one another. 27 They will say: "It was you who used to come to us from the right side [i.e. from the right side of one of us and beautify for us every evil, order us for polytheism, and stop us from the truth i.e. Islamic Monotheism and from every good deed]." 28 They answer: Nay, but ye (yourselves) were not believers. 29 And we had no authority over you, but you were an inordinate people; 30 The sentence of our Lord has come true for us. We have certainly to taste (the punishment), 31 We mislead you and we ourselves had also gone astray." 32 On that Day they will all share the punishment: 33 that is how We deal with evil-doers. 34 Surely they used to behave proudly when it was said to them: There is no god but Allah; 35 and replied, "Shall we then give up our deities at the bidding of a mad poet?" 36 Nay, but he [whom you call a mad poet] has brought the truth; and he confirms the truth of [what the earlier of God's] message-bearers [have taught]. 37 Verily, you (pagans of Makkah) are going to taste the painful torment; 38 and be rewarded only according to your deeds." 39 Save the servants of Allah, the purified ones. 40 Those! theirs shall be a provision known: 41 Fruits; and they shall be honoured, 42 In the Gardens of delight (Paradise), 43 (Sitting) on couches, face to face, 44 There will be circulated among them a cup [of wine] from a flowing spring, 45 White and delicious to the drinkers; 46 there is neither sickness in it, nor intoxication. 47 And with them are those of modest gaze, with lovely eyes, 48 (Delicate and pure) as if they were (hidden) eggs (well) preserved. 49 Then they will advance unto each other, mutually questioning. 50 The speaker among them said, “I had a companion.” 51 "Who used to say, 'what! art thou amongst those who bear witness to the Truth (of the Message)? 52 "(That) when we die and become dust and bones, shall we indeed (be raised up) to receive reward or punishment (according to our deeds)?" 53 He said: 'Will you look down?' 54 And he will look and see him in the midst of the Hellfire. 55 He saith: By Allah, thou verily didst all but cause my ruin, 56 "Had it not been for the Grace of my Lord, I would certainly have been among those brought forth (to Hell)." 57 Is it then that we are not going to die, 58 except for our first death? And shall we suffer no chastisement?'” 59 Indeed, this is the great attainment. 60 For the like of this then let the workers work. 61 Is this better as an entertainment or the tree of Zaqqum? 62 which We have made as a test for the wrongdoers. 63 Surely it is a tree that-grows in the bottom of the hell; 64 and its fruits are like devils' heads. 65 They will eat from it and fill their bellies with it; 66 Then on top of that they will be given a mixture made of boiling water. 67 And thereafter verily their return is unto the Flaming Fire. 68 They found their fathers erring, 69 So they hastily follow their footsteps! 70 And assuredly there went stray before them many of the ancients. 71 And We had sent admonishers to them. 72 Then see how was the end of those warned, 73 Save single-minded slaves of Allah. 74
