Hizb 46
< random >
Jonah too was one of the messengers. 139 when he ran away to the laden ship 140 Then lots were drawn and he became of those who were pushed into the sea. 141 Then the fish swallowed him, while he was blameworthy. 142 Had he not been one of those who acknowledge the glory of God, 143 He would have remained in its belly till the day when all will be raised. 144 ۞ Then We cast him on a desert shore while he was sick; 145 and caused a gourd tree to grow over him, 146 And We sent him to a hundred thousand (folk) or more 147 So they accepted faith We therefore gave them usage for a while. 148 Now, ask them, has your Lord daughters, and they sons? 149 Did We create the angels females, to which they were witnesses? 150 Pay heed! It is their slander that they say. 151 'God has begotten a son.' They are certainly liars. 152 Does He prefer sons to daughters? 153 What is the matter with you, how is it that you judge? 154 Will ye not then receive admonition? 155 Do you have any clear authority for such claims? 156 Then bring your book, if you are truthful. 157 They link Him with jinns by lineage, yet the jinns know they will be brought before Him. 158 God is far above what they attribute to Him, 159 except the servants of God, sincere and devoted. 160 So neither you nor those you worship 161 Can mislead anyone away from Him, 162 Except he who is to [enter and] burn in the Hellfire. 163 There is not one of us (angels) but has his known place (or position); 164 we are those who stand ranged in ranks. 165 and we glorify God". 166 And surely they used to say: 167 'If only we had had a Reminder from the ancients, 168 we would have been sincere worshipers of Allah' 169 But they disbelieved in it; soon they shall know! 170 We have already given Our promise to Our Messengers 171 That they verily would be made triumphant. 172 And verily Our host! they are to be overcome. 173 So turn thou away from them for a little while, 174 And wait; they will come to know soon. 175 Do they want to hasten Our punishment? 176 Then when it descendeth unto them face to face, a hapless morn that shall be for those who were warned. 177 Stay away from them for a while 178 and see, soon they shall see! 179 Glorified be your Lord, the Lord of Honour and Power! (He is free) from what they attribute unto Him! 180 And peace be upon all His message-bearers! 181 And praise be to Allah, Lord of the Worlds! 182
Almighty Allah's Truth.
