Did you not see those who dispute concerning the signs of Allah? Where are they being diverted? 69 Those who reject the Book and the (revelations) with which We sent our messengers: but soon shall they know,- 70 When, with (iron) collars and chains around their necks, they will be dragged 71 boiling water, and cast into the Fire. 72 Then it will be said to them, "Where is that which you used to associate [with Him in worship] 73 Besides Allah? They shall say: They are gone away from us, nay, we used not to call upon anything before. Thus does Allah confound the unbelievers. 74 "This is so because you went about exulting wrongfully in the land," (will they be told), "and you were insolent. 75 Enter the gates of Hell to abide eternally therein, and wretched is the residence of the arrogant." 76 So be patient, [O Muhammad]; indeed, the promise of Allah is truth. And whether We show you some of what We have promised them or We take you in death, it is to Us they will be returned. 77 Surely We have sent apostles before you, some of whose account We have related to you, and that of some We have not told you. But no apostle was given a miracle unless God dispensed. But when the decree of God comes the sentence is passed with justice; and the lovers of vice and vanity will then come to grief. 78
