Al-Dukhaan 2 of 3
And We delivered the Children of Israel from the shameful doom; 30 (We delivered them) from Pharaoh. Lo! he was a tyrant of the wanton ones. 31 And We certainly chose them by knowledge over [all] the worlds. 32 and showed them signs in which there was a clear test. 33 As to these (Quraish), they say forsooth: 34 'There is nothing except the first death, we shall never be revived. 35 “Therefore bring back our forefathers, if you are truthful!” 36 Are they better than the tribe of Tubba (name of a Yemenite tribal chief) and those who lived before them? We destroyed them. They were criminals. 37 And We did not create the heavens and the earth and what is between them in sport. 38 We created them with definite purpose; but most of them do not understand. 39 Surely the day of separation is their appointed term, of all of them 40 On that Day no cousin shall help his cousin and they shall not be helped 41 Except him on whom Allah has Mercy. Verily, He is the All-Mighty, the Most Merciful. 42
