We swear that We have created the human being and We know what his soul whispers to him. We are closer to him than even his jugular vein. 16 and the two recording angels are recording, sitting on the right and the left: 17 Not a word does he (or she) utter, but there is a watcher by him ready (to record it). 18 And the stupor of death will bring Truth (before his eyes): "This was the thing which thou wast trying to escape!" 19 And the Horn will be blown. That is the Day of [carrying out] the threat. 20 And every soul shall come, with it a driver and a witness. 21 (And the driver will say:) "You were oblivious of this, so we have removed the veil, and how keen is your sight today!" 22 His (angelic) companion will say, "(Lord), the record of his deeds is with me and is all ready". 23 [Allah will say], "Throw into Hell every obstinate disbeliever, 24 who hinders good, exceeds the limits, is immersed in doubts, 25 Who set up with Allah another god. So cast him ye twain into the torment severe. 26 ۞ His Companion will say: "Our Lord! I did not make him transgress, but he was (himself) far astray." 27 (It was said): “Do not remonstrate in My presence. I had warned you. 28 “With Me, the decree does not change, and nor do I oppress the bondmen.” 29
