Have you [Prophet] considered the man who turned away, 33 And gave a little, then stopped (giving)? 34 Has he knowledge of the unseen, so that he sees? 35 Or hath he not had news of what is in the books of Moses 36 And with Abraham who kept his word: 37 that no bearer of burdens shall be made to bear another's burden; 38 And that there is not for man except that [good] for which he strives 39 And that his endeavour shall be presently observed. 40 And afterward he will be repaid for it with fullest payment; 41 And that to your Lord (Allah) is the End (Return of everything). 42 And that it is He Who causeth to laugh and causeth to weep. 43 That it is He Who granteth Death and Life; 44 And that He creates the two mates - the male and female - 45 from a discharged living germ 46 And that upon Him (Allah) is another bringing forth (Resurrection); 47 and that it is He who gives wealth and riches, 48 that He is the Lord of Sirius. 49 And that He destroyed the first [people of] 'Aad 50 and Thamud, leaving no trace [of them,] 51 and the people of Noah before -- certainly they did exceeding evil, and were insolent 52 and the Subverted City He also overthrew, 53 so that there came upon them that which came. 54 So, which of your Lord's bounties will you doubt?” 55 This is a Warner, of the (series of) Warners of old! 56 There hath approached the approaching Hour. 57 None, except Allah, can avert it. 58 Will you, then, wonder at this? 59 And laugh and not weep, 60 While you are proudly sporting? 61 So prostrate to Allah and worship [Him]. ۩ 62
