Prostration
< random >
Have you [Prophet] considered the man who turned away, 33 Who gives but little, and is niggardly? 34 Is with him the knowledge of the unseen so that he sees? 35 Or is he not informed with what is in the Pages (Scripture) of Musa (Moses), 36 and of Abraham, who to his trust was true: 37 That no one who carries a burden bears another's load; 38 and that everyone shall have in his account only that which he worked for, 39 And that his endeavour shall be presently observed. 40 Then he will be recompensed with a full and the best recompense. 41 that all things in the end shall return to God; 42 That it is He who makes you happy and morose, 43 And that it is He (Allah) Who causes death and gives life; 44 and that He Himself created the two sexes: male and female, 45 From a drop (of seed) when it is poured forth; 46 and on Him depends the life hereafter. 47 And that it is He Who has given wealth and contentment? 48 And that He (Allah) is the Lord of Sirius (the star which the pagan Arabs used to worship); 49 that He it is Who destroyed the ancient 'Ad, 50 and Thamood, sparing no one, 51 And before them, the people of Nooh? Indeed they were more unjust and more rebellious than these! 52 And He brought perdition upon the subverted cities 53 and then covered them from sight forever. 54 Then which of the favors of your Lord do you doubt? 55 This is a warner, of the warners of old. 56 The (Judgment) ever approaching draws nigh: 57 none except Allah can disclose it. 58 Do you then wonder at this announcement? 59 And laugh and not weep, 60 Wasting your (precious) lifetime in pastime and amusements (singing, etc.). 61 But fall ye down in prostration to Allah, and adore (Him)! ۩ 62
True are the words of God the Almighty.
End of Surah: The Stars (Al-Najm). Sent down in Mecca after Absoluteness (Al-Ikhlaas) before He Frowned ('Abasa)
