(Muhammad), have you ever seen the one who has turned away (from guidance), 33 And gave a little and [then] refrained? 34 Or, does he possess knowledge of the Unseen, and can therefore see? 35 Has he not heard what is contained in the Book of Moses, 36 and about Abraham who fulfilled his duty (to God)? 37 Namely, that no bearer of burdens can bear the burden of another; 38 That a man receives but only that for which he strives; 39 and that his labouring shall surely be seen, 40 whereupon he shall be requited for it with the fullest requital; 41 and that the final return is to your Lord, 42 It is He who causes laughter and weeping. 43 and that He it is Who causes death and grants life, 44 And that He created pairs, the male and the female 45 From Nutfah (drops of semen male and female discharges) when it is emitted; 46 And that upon Him is another bringing forth. 47 and that it is He who gives wealth and riches, 48 and that it is He alone who sustains the brightest star; 49 that it was He that destroyed ancient Aad 50 and Thamud, leaving no trace of them, 51 And the people of Nuh (Noah) aforetime, verily, they were more unjust and more rebellious and transgressing [in disobeying Allah and His Messenger Nuh (Noah)]. 52 And He overthrew the Cities of the Plain, 53 and then covered them from sight forever. 54 Which of your Lord's benefits will you then dispute about? 55 This is a warner of the warners of old. 56 The (Judgment) ever approaching draws nigh: 57 None except Allah can avert it. 58 Then at this statement do you wonder? 59 And you laugh, and do not weep! 60 And you are lost in play! 61 So bow yourselves before God, and serve Him! ۩ 62
