The Thamud (also) rejected (their) Warners. 23 And said, "Is it one human being among us that we should follow? Indeed, we would then be in error and madness. 24 Hath the admonition been laid upon him from amongst us! Aye! he is a liar insolent. 25 (We told Our Messenger): “Tomorrow they shall know who is the insolent liar. 26 Surely We are going to send the she-camel as a trial for them; therefore watch them and have patience. 27 And tell them that the water is to be divided between them, each drink for each in turn. 28 But they called their companion, so he took (the sword) and slew (her). 29 How [terrible] were My punishment and My warnings! 30 Verily, We sent against them a single Saihah (torment - awful cry, etc.), and they became like the dry stubble of a fold-builder. 31 We made the Quran easy to understand, but is there anyone who would take heed? 32 The folk of Lot rejected warnings. 33 Surely We sent upon them a stonestorm, except Lut's followers; We saved them a little before daybreak, 34 As a Grace from Us: thus do We reward those who give thanks. 35 And assuredly he had warned them of Our grasp, but: they doubted the warnings. 36 And they indeed sought to shame his guest (by asking to commit sodomy with them). So We blinded their eyes, "Then taste you My Torment and My Warnings." 37 And verily, an abiding torment seized them early in the morning. 38 Taste then My torment and My warnings. 39 Now We have made the Koran easy for Remembrance. Is there any that will remember? 40

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
