The All Compassionate (Al-Rahman)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ AR-RAHMAN 1 Taught the Qur'an, 2 Has created Prophet Mohammed (peace and blessings be upon him) as the soul of mankind. 3 Has taught him the knowledge of the past and the future. 4 The sun and the moon are in a reckoning. 5 And the herbs and the trees - both (alike) prostrate in adoration. 6 And the skies has He raised high, and has devised [for all things] a measure, 7 That you not transgress within the balance. 8 And establish weight in justice and do not make deficient the balance. 9 And the earth hath He appointed for (His) creatures, 10 Therein are fruit and palm-trees sheathed. 11 And grain having husks and scented plants. 12 O which of your Lord's bounties will you and you deny? 13 He created man of clay like, unto pottery. 14 And He created the jinn of a flame of fire. 15 O which of your Lord's bounties will you and you deny? 16 [He is] Lord of the two sunrises and Lord of the two sunsets. 17 Which of your Lord's wonders would you deny? 18 He has made the two seas to flow freely (so that) they meet together: 19 [yet] between them is a barrier which they may not transgress. 20 O which of your Lord's bounties will you and you deny? 21 From both of them emerge pearl and coral. 22 Then which of the Blessings of your Lord will you both (jinns and men) deny? 23 And His are the ships reared aloft in the sea like mountains. 24 Which of your Lord's wonders would you deny? 25
