The All Compassionate (Al-Rahman)
78 verses, revealed in Medina after Thunder (Al-Ra'ad) before The Human (Al-Insan)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ AR-RAHMAN 1 has taught the Koran. 2 He created the human 3 and taught him its pronunciation. 4 The sun and the moon move according to a fixed reckoning; 5 And the stars and trees prostrate. 6 and He has raised up the heaven and has set a balance 7 In order that ye may not transgress (due) balance. 8 But observe the measure strictly, nor fall short thereof. 9 And the earth has He spread out for all living beings, 10 There exists all kinds of fruits, palm-trees with sheathed blossoms, 11 and a variety of corn with both husk and grain. 12 Which then of the bounties of your Lord will you deny? 13 He created man of clay like the potter's, 14 and He created the jinns from a flame of fire. 15 Which of the wonders of your Lord's power will you twain you men and jinn then deny? 16 Lord of the two Easts, Lord of the two Wests. 17 (Jinn and mankind) - which of the favors of your Lord do you then deny? 18 He hath loosed the two seas. They meet. 19 In-between the twain is a barrier which they pass not. 20 Which then of the bounties of your Lord will you deny? 21 There come forth from the twain the pearl and the coral. 22 How many favours of your Lord will you then deny? 23 And His are the ships reared aloft in the sea like mountains. 24 (Jinn and mankind) - which of the favors of your Lord do you then deny? 25

قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
