▼ 55 The All Compassionate
Al-Rahman 3 of 3
But for him who feareth the standing before his Lord there are two gardens. 46 (jinn and mankind) - which of the favors of your Lord would you then deny? 47 Having in them various kinds. 48 Which is it, of the favours of your Lord, that ye deny? 49 In them (each) will be two Springs flowing (free); 50 (Jinn and mankind) - which of the favors would you then deny? 51 In them there are pairs of each kind of fruit. 52 Which is it, of the favours of your Lord, that ye deny? 53 They shall recline on couches lined with brocade, and within reach shall hang the fruits of the two Gardens. 54 Which is it, of the favours of your Lord, that ye deny? 55 In these [gardens] will be mates of modest gaze, whom neither man nor invisible being will have touched ere then. 56 Which, then, of your Sustainer's powers can you disavow? 57 (In beauty) they are like rubies and coral. 58 Which favors of your Lord will you both belie? 59 Shall the recompense of kindness be aught save kindness? 60 So O men and jinns! Which favour of your Lord will you deny? 61 Besides those two there shall be two other gardens. 62 So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny? - 63 Dark green (in colour). 64 Which favors of your Lord will you both belie? 65 In both of them live springs gush forth. 66 O which of your Lord's bounties will you and you deny? 67 In both of them will be [all kinds of] fruit, and date-palms and pomegranates. 68 Which favors of your Lord will you both belie? 69 Therein will be maidens chaste and beautiful. 70 Which, then, of your Sustainer's powers can you disavow? 71 Maidens (of Paradise, Houris) in cloistered cool pavilions. 72 Which then of the bounties of your Lord will you deny? 73 [companions] whom neither man nor invisible being will have touched ere then. 74 Then which of the favours of your Lord will ye deny?- 75 Reclining on green cushions and beautiful fine carpets. 76 (Jinn and mankind) - which of the favors of your Lord would you then deny? 77 Blessed be the Name of your Lord (Allah), the Owner of Majesty and Honour. 78
