Iron (Al-Hadeed)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
Whatever is in the heavens and earth exalts Allah, and He is the Exalted in Might, the Wise. 1 To Him belongs the Kingdom in the heavens and earth. It is He who revives and causes to die, and He has power over all things. 2 He is the first and He the last, the transcendent and the immanent; and He has knowledge of everything. 3 He it is Who created the heavens and the earth in six days; then He established Himself on the Throne. He knoweth whatsoever plungeth into the earth and whatsoever cometh forth therefrom, and whatsoever descendeth from the heaven and whatsoever ascendeth thereto; and He is with you wheresoever ye be. And Allah is of whatsoever ye work a Beholder. 4 His is the dominion of the heavens and the earth, and to Him are all matters referred (for judgement). 5 He causes the night to pass into the day, and causes the day to pass into the night, and He fully knows all that is hidden in the breasts of people. 6 Believe in Allah and His messenger, and spend of that whereof He hath made you trustees; and such of you as believe and spend (aright), theirs will be a great reward. 7 Why is it that you do not believe in Allah, when the Messenger calls on you to believe in your Lord, and He has made a covenant with you if you are believers? 8 It is He Who sends down manifest Ayat (proofs, evidences, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.) to His slave (Muhammad SAW) that He may bring you out from darkness into light. And verily, Allah is to you full of kindness, Most Merciful. 9 And why should you not spend freely in the cause of God, seeing that God's [alone] is the heritage of the heavens and the earth? Not equal are those of you who spent and fought [in God's cause] before the Victory [and those who did not do so]: they are of a higher rank than those who would spend and fight [only] after it - although God has promised the ultimate good to all [who strive in His cause], and God is aware of what you do. 10
