Jinns (Al-Jinn)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
۞ Say: It has been revealed to me that a party of the jinn listened, and they said: Surely we have heard a wonderful Quran, 1 'It guides to the Right Path, and we have believed therein, and we shall never join (in worship) anything with our Lord (Allah). 2 Exalted is the glory of our Lord; He has neither wife nor son. 3 And that our foolish one has been saying about Allah an excessive transgression. 4 And lo! we had supposed that humankind and jinn would not speak a lie concerning Allah - 5 and that “some from among the humans used to seek protection of some among the jinn, and thus they increased the arrogance of the jinn”; 6 They thought, as you did, that God would never raise up anyone from the dead. 7 and that “we tried to pry (the secrets of) the heaven, but we found it full of terrible guards and shooting meteors”; 8 we used to take up a position to listen, but whoever listens now finds a flaming fire lying in wait for him -- 9 And that we know not whether evil is meant for those who are on earth or whether their Lord means to bring them good: 10 For some of us are upright and some otherwise: Surely we follow different ways. 11 'But we think that we can by no means frustrate Allah throughout the earth, nor can we frustrate Him by flight. 12 When we heard the guidance, we believed in it; and whosoever believes in his Lord, he shall fear neither paltriness nor vileness. 13 And of us some are Muslims, and of us some are deviators. Then whosoever hath embraced Islam - such have endeavoured after a path of rectitude. 14 And as to the deviators, they are fuel of hell: 15 If they (the idolaters) tread the right path, We shall give them to drink of water in abundance 16 so that We might try them through this bounty. Whoso turns away from the remembrance of his Lord, He will cause him to suffer a grievous chastisement; 17 and that “mosques belong to Allah, so do not invoke anyone with Him”; 18 When the worshiper of Allah stood supplicating to Him, they swarmed around him (Prophet Muhammad). 19
