Nay! By the moon 32 And by oath of the night when it turns back. 33 and the dawn when it is white, 34 hell is certainly the greatest calamity. 35 A warning to mankind, 36 To whoever wills among you to proceed or stay behind. 37 Every person is a pledge for what he has earned, 38 Except those on the Right, (i.e. the pious true believers of Islamic Monotheism); 39 in Gardens they will question 40 About Al-Mujrimun (polytheists, criminals, disbelievers, etc.), (And they will say to them): 41 'What caused you to be thrust into the Scorching (Fire)' 42 They said, "We never used to offer the prayer." 43 and we did not feed the poor, 44 We used to wade (in vain dispute) with (all) waders, 45 and belied the Day of Recompense 46 "Until there came to us (the death) that is certain." 47 So no intercession of intercessors will be of any use to them. 48 Then what is [the matter] with them that they are, from the reminder, turning away 49 like startled wild donkeys 50 Fleeing from a lion! 51 Rather each one of them desires that he should be given open Books. 52 No indeed; but they do not fear the Hereafter. 53 Nay! it is surely an admonition. 54 So, whoever wills, will remember it. 55 And what advice will they heed, except if Allah wills? Only He deserves to be feared, and His only is the greatness of forgiving. 56
