Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ Nay, I swear by the Day of Resurrection; 1 And I swear by the self-reproaching person (a believer). 2 Thinketh man that We shall not assemble his bones? 3 Surely We are able to reform even his finger-tips. 4 Nay! (Man denies Resurrection and Reckoning. So) he desires to continue committing sins. 5 He asks: “When will the Day of Resurrection be?” 6 but when the sight is dazed 7 And the moon becomes dark, 8 and the sun and the moon are brought together 9 on that Day will man say: “Whither the refuge?” 10 No indeed; not a refuge! 11 Unto thy Lord is the recourse that day. 12 On that day man is told the tale of that which he hath sent before and left behind. 13 Indeed, man shall be a witness against himself, 14 Although he may put forth his pleas. 15 [Prophet], do not move your tongue too fast in your attempt to learn this revelation: 16 We Ourself shall see to its collection and recital. 17 Thus, when We recite it, follow thou its wording [with all thy mind]: 18 Then it is for Us (Allah) to make it clear to you, 19 Yet you love this hasty world 20 and give no thought to the life to come [and to Judgment Day]! 21 Some faces that Day shall be Nadirah (shining and radiant). 22 and will be looking towards their Lord; 23 And some faces, that Day, will be sad and dismal, 24 Thou wilt know that some great disaster is about to fall on them. 25 Yes indeed, when the soul will reach up to the throat. 26 And it is asked: "Is there any reciter of charms and amulets?" 27 and when he thinks it is the time of departure 28 and is enwrapped in the pangs of death 29 To your Lord on that day shall be the driving. 30
