Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By oath of those that are sent, one after the other. (The verses of the Holy Qur’an or the angels or the winds). 1 storming tempestuously 2 And [by] the winds that spread [clouds] 3 then the criterion (the verses of Koran), separating 4 Then spread abroad a Message, 5 Whether of Justification or of Warning;- 6 surely that which you are promised is about to fall! 7 Then when the stars lose their lights; 8 and when the sky is rent asunder, 9 and the mountains scattered, 10 and when the Messengers' time is set, 11 For what day is that time fixed? 12 For the Day of Distinction [between the true and the false]! 13 How will you comprehend what the Day of Judgement is? 14 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 15 Did We not destroy the ancients, 16 We will now cause the later ones to follow them: 17 Even thus shall We deal with the guilty. 18 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 19 Did We not create you of a mean fluid, 20 Then We lodged you in a secure place (the womb) 21 For a known extent. 22 Thus We have determined the stages of development and Our power to determine is excellent indeed. 23 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 24 Did We not make the earth as a gathering place 25 For the living and the dead, 26 And have placed therein firm, and tall mountains; and have given you to drink sweet water? 27 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 28 Walk on to that which you called a lie. 29 Depart into the shadow of three masses, 30 "(Which yields) no shade of coolness, and is of no use against the fierce Blaze. 31 and throwing up sparks as huge as towers 32 which seem as though they are yellow-coloured camels. 33 On that day, woe would be upon those who have rejected God's revelations! 34 This is the Day they shall not speak, 35 nor will they be permitted to offer any excuses. 36 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 37 That will be the Day of Reckoning. Gathered will be (you) and the earlier (generations). 38 If now ye have any craft, try that craft upon Me. 39 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 40
