Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By oath of those that are sent, one after the other. (The verses of the Holy Qur’an or the angels or the winds). 1 By the raging hurricanes, 2 And [by] the winds that spread [clouds] 3 By those who winnow with a winnowing, 4 By those who bring down the Reminder, 5 to excuse some and warn others: 6 Surely what you are promised shall come to pass. 7 So when stars are effaced. 8 Heavens will rent asunder. 9 The mountains will be blown away as dust. 10 And when the messengers' time has come... 11 For what day is it timed? 12 For the Day of Decision. 13 And what can make you know what is the Day of Judgement? 14 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth! 15 Destroyed We not the former folk, 16 Then did We follow them up with later ones. 17 Thus do We deal with the sinful ones. 18 On that day, woe upon those who have rejected God's revelations! 19 Did We not create you of a mean water, 20 Then We placed it in a secure resting-place, 21 Till an appointed term, 22 Then We facilitated (your birth). How well do We calculate! 23 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 24 Have We not made the earth a receptacle 25 For the living and the dead, 26 And placed therein high mountains and given you to drink sweet water therein? 27 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 28 Walk on to that which you called a lie. 29 Depart unto the shadow falling threefold, 30 which neither gives shade nor protects one from the flames. 31 "Indeed it throws about sparks (huge) as Forts, 32 and as bright as a herd of yellow camels. 33 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 34 This is the Day they shall not speak, 35 And permission shall not be given to them so that they should offer excuses. 36 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 37 That will be the Day of Reckoning. Gathered will be (you) and the earlier (generations). 38 If you are cunning, then try your cunning against Me! 39 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 40
