Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
By the loosed ones successively 1 storming tempestuously 2 and the rain-spreading winds, 3 And the scattering winds scattering. 4 And those [angels] who deliver a message 5 By way of excuse or warning. 6 BEHOLD, all that you are told to expect will surely come to pass. 7 So when the stars are extinguished, 8 and when the sky is rent asunder 9 when the mountains shall be scattered 10 And when the Messengers are gathered to their time appointed; 11 For what Day are these signs postponed? 12 For the Day of Decision. 13 And what will explain to you what is the Day of sorting out? 14 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 15 Have We not destroyed the earlier generations? 16 Thereafter We shall cause to follow them the latter ones. 17 Thus deal We ever with the guilty. 18 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 19 Did We not create you out of a humble fluid 20 Then We lodged you in a secure place (the womb) 21 Till an appointed term, 22 Thus did We Plan and how excellent is Our planning! 23 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 24 Have We not made the earth a receptacle? 25 The living and the dead, 26 And have placed therein firm, and tall mountains; and have given you to drink sweet water? 27 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 28 Depart to that which you belied! 29 Walk on to the covering having three branches, 30 [But having] no cool shade and availing not against the flame." 31 Indeed hell throws up sparks like huge castles. 32 sparks like to golden herds. 33 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 34 that Day on which they will not [be able to] utter a word, 35 And permission shall not be given to them so that they should offer excuses. 36 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 37 This is the Day of Judgement; We will have assembled you and the former peoples. 38 If you are cunning, then try your cunning against Me! 39 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth! 40
