Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
I swear by the emissary winds, sent one after another (for men's benefit), 1 By the raging hurricanes, 2 Then by oath of those that lift and carry. 3 then the criterion (the verses of Koran), separating 4 And those that bring down the Reminder 5 To end all argument or to warn. 6 BEHOLD, all that you are told to expect will surely come to pass. 7 So when stars are effaced. 8 When the heaven is cleft asunder; 9 when the mountains shall be scattered 10 And when the apostles are gathered at their appointed time 11 If one asks, "To which day have such calamitous events been postponed?" 12 Upon the Day of Decision! 13 And what do you know, what the Day of Decision is! 14 On that day, woe will be to those who have rejected God's revelations! 15 Did We not destroy the former peoples? 16 And We shall let them be followed by those of later times: 17 As such shall We deal with the sinners. 18 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 19 Did We not create you from contemptible water? 20 Which We laid up in a safe abode 21 For a known term? 22 Then We facilitated (your birth). How well do We calculate! 23 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 24 Have We not made the earth a container 25 Both for the living and the dead, 26 And We placed high mountains as anchors in it and gave you sweet water to drink. 27 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 28 Proceed now towards that which you were wont to deny as false; 29 Depart into the shadow of three masses, 30 which neither provides (cooling) shade nor protection against the flames; 31 "Indeed it throws about sparks (huge) as Forts, 32 "As if there were (a string of) yellow camels (marching swiftly)." 33 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 34 This is a day wherein they speak not, 35 Nor will it be open to them to put forth pleas. 36 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 37 This is the Day of Judgement; We will have assembled you and the former peoples. 38 So if you have any ploy, try it against Me! 39 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 40
