He Frowned ('Abasa)
42 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Stars (Al-Najm) before Destiny (Al-Qadr)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
۞ He frowned and turned away 1 Because there came to him the blind man. 2 And what would make you know that he would purify himself, 3 or receive some (Quranic) advice which would benefit him. 4 As for him who is not in want of any thing, 5 to him didst thou give thy whole attention, 6 Whereas it is not on thee that he is not cleansed. 7 But as to him who came to thee striving earnestly, 8 And hath fear, 9 Of him you are neglectful and divert your attention to another, 10 Nay! surely it is an admonishment. 11 so let those who want to follow its guidance do so. 12 On honourable pages. 13 Exalted and purified, 14 [borne] by the hands of messengers 15 noble and pious. 16 Woe to man! What hath made him reject Allah; 17 From what has God created him? 18 Of a sperm-drop He created him, and determined him, 19 then the way eased for him, 20 then makes him to die, and buries him, 21 Then, when He willed, He brought him out. (As during the night of Holy Prophet’s ascension, when all the Prophets gathered behind him in the Al Aqsa mosque in Jerusalem. Or when Allah will raise everyone on the Day of Resurrection.) 22 Nay, but man did not fulfil what Allah had enjoined upon him. 23 Then let man look to his food, 24 For that We pour forth water in abundance, 25 Then We broke open the earth, splitting [it with sprouts], 26 We make the grain grow out of it, 27 And Grapes and nutritious plants, 28 olives, dates, 29 And garden-closes of thick foliage 30 and fruits and herbage, 31 A provision for you and your cattle. 32 Then when cometh the Deafening Cry 33 On the day when a man fleeth from his brother 34 And from his mother and his father, 35 And his spouse and his son-- 36 Every man of them shall on that day have an affair which will occupy him. 37 On that day faces will be bright as dawn, 38 Laughing, joyous. 39 And faces on that Day! upon them shall be gloom. 40 with darkness overspread: 41 They will be the unbelievers, transgressors. 42
God the Almighty always says the truth.

Notes and Instructions
When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
