The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
When the sun is overthrown, 1 And when the stars fall down. 2 and when the mountains are made to vanish, 3 And when milch camels roam abandoned. 4 And when the wild beasts shall be gathered together; 5 the oceans are brought to a boil, 6 And when the souls are paired. 7 When the female (infant), buried alive, is questioned - 8 for what sin she was killed, 9 the records of deeds are made public, 10 And when the heaven has its covering removed, 11 And when the Scorch shall be made to blaze, 12 And Paradise brought near, 13 Then every soul shall know that which it hath presented. 14 I swear by the receding stars, 15 The stars which rise and set, 16 And by the night when it departeth, 17 And the morning when it brightens, 18 behold, this [divine writ] is indeed the [inspired] word of a noble apostle, 19 Endued with Power, with rank before the Lord of the Throne, 20 obeyed by (all creatures) and faithful to His trust. 21 Nor is your companion distracted. 22 And indeed he (Muhammad (Peace be upon him)) saw him [Jibrael (Gabriel)] in the clear horizon (towards the east). 23 Neither doth he withhold grudgingly a knowledge of the Unseen. 24 And it (the Quran) is not the word of the outcast Shaitan (Satan). 25 Where then will you go? 26 It is nothing but Good Counsel for everyone in the world, 27 So let those who want, choose the right guidance 28 but will you shall not, unless God wills, the Lord of all Being. 29
