Al-Infitaar
Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat) before The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ When heaven is split open, 1 When the Stars are scattered; 2 When the Oceans are suffered to burst forth; 3 And when the graves are overturned. 4 (Then) a person will know what he has sent forward and (what he has) left behind (of good or bad deeds). 5 O human! What has deceived you concerning your Generous Lord 6 Who created you, then made you complete, then made you symmetrical? 7 He moulded you into whatever shape He willed. 8 No! But you deny the Recompense. 9 yet there are over you watchers 10 noble, recording, 11 They know all that you do. 12 Verily, the Abrar (pious and righteous) will be in delight (Paradise); 13 But the wicked, indeed they shall be in the Fiery Furnace, 14 They shall enter it on the Day of Recompense 15 And will not be able to hide from it. 16 They will never be able to escape from it. Would that you knew what the Day of Judgment is! 17 Again, what shall make thee know whatsoever the Day of Requital is? 18 It is the Day when no one shall have the power to do anything for another, and all command shall be Allah's. 19
