Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
۞ WHEN THE SKY is split asunder, 1 And when the stars have fallen and scattered; 2 when the oceans are gushed forth, 3 And when the [contents of] graves are scattered, 4 A soul will know what it hath sent before (it) and what left behind. 5 O man! What has made you careless concerning your Lord, the Most Generous? 6 who created you, fashioned you and proportioned you, 7 in whatever composition He wanted. 8 By no means! Aye, ye belie the Requital. 9 But verily, over you (are appointed angels in charge of mankind) to watch you. 10 Noble and recording; 11 who know what you do. 12 The pious will surely be in heaven, 13 and the libertines shall be in a fiery furnace 14 They shall enter it on the Day of Recompense 15 and then shall never come out of it. 16 And what shall teach thee what is the Day of Doom? 17 Again, what shall teach thee what is the Day of Doom? 18 [It will be] a Day when no human being shall be of the least avail to another human being: for on that Day [it will become manifest that] all sovereignty is God's alone. 19
