The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the heaven of the constellations! 1 and [then bethink thyself of] the promised Day, 2 And [by] the witness and what is witnessed, 3 Cursed were the companions of the trench 4 the fire with its fuel, 5 while they themselves sat around it 6 And were themselves the witnesses of what they did to the believers. 7 And they resented them not except because they believed in Allah, the Exalted in Might, the Praiseworthy, 8 To whom belongs the dominion of the heavens and the earth. And Allah, over all things, is Witness. 9 Those who persecute the believing men and women without repenting will suffer the torment of hell and that of the burning fire. 10 As for the righteously striving believers, they will live in Paradise wherein streams flow. This is the greatest triumph. 11 Indeed, the seizing of your Lord is severe. 12 Surely it is He who originates, and brings again, 13 He is the forgiving and the loving, 14 Lord of the Throne of Glory, 15 Doer of what He will. 16 Has it come to you the story of the hosts 17 [Those of] Pharaoh and Thamud? 18 The unbelievers are indeed engaged in denying it, calling it a lie, 19 While Allah encompasses them from behind. 20 In fact it (what they deny) is the Noble Qur’an. 21 On a guarded tablet. 22
