The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ Glorify the name of thy Guardian-Lord Most High, 1 who has created and shaped, 2 And who destined and [then] guided 3 And Who brings out the pasturage, 4 And then doth make it (but) swarthy stubble. 5 We shall now make you read (O dear Prophet Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him), so you will not forget. 6 Except what Allah, may will, He knows what is apparent and what is hidden. 7 We shall take you slowly towards ease. 8 Remind, if the reminder can be of benefit. 9 He who fears (Allah) shall heed it, 10 And the most wicked will stay away from it. 11 [He] who will [enter and] burn in the greatest Fire, 12 where he will neither die nor live. 13 He who purified himself shall prosper, 14 And glorify the name of their Guardian-Lord, and (lift their hearts) in prayer. 15 Nay! you prefer the life of this world, 16 Whereas the Hereafter is better and more lasting. 17 This, indeed, was in the ancient Scrolls, 18 the Scrolls of Abraham and Moses. 19
