The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the white forenoon 1 and by the night when it covers the world with peace: 2 (O Prophet), your Lord has neither forsaken you, nor is He displeased. 3 And surely what comes after is better for you than that which has gone before. 4 Thy Lord shall give thee, and thou shalt be satisfied. 5 Did He not find thee an orphan and protect (thee)? 6 And He found thee wandering, so He guided thee, 7 And find you in want and make you to be free from want? 8 Do not oppress the orphans 9 And repulse not the beggar; 10 And as for the favor of your Lord, do announce (it). 11
