The Embryo (Al-Alaq)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
(Muhammad), read in the name of your Lord who created (all things). 1 Created man from a clinging substance. 2 Recite, and your Lord is the most Generous - 3 who taught by the Pen, 4 Hath taught man that which he knew not. 5 Nay! man is most surely inordinate, 6 As he considers himself independent! 7 However, (all things) will return to your Lord. 8 Did you see him who forbids 9 a servant of Ours from prayer? 10 Have you seen if he was upon guidance 11 or enjoins true piety? 12 Seest thou if he denies (Truth) and turns away? 13 Knows he not that Allah does see (what he does)? 14 Let him know that if he does not desist, We shall certainly drag him by his forelocks, 15 A forelock that lies, is sinful. 16 Then let him call his associates; 17 We, will call the Zabania (the harsh angels of Hell). 18 Yes indeed; do not listen to him – and prostrate, and become close to Us. (Command of Prostration # 14) ۩ 19
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
