The Galloppers (Al-Aadeyaat)

11 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Afternoon (Al-'Asr) before Bounty (Al-Kawthar)

In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful

Oh, the chargers that run panting, 1 then raise sparks of fire (by their hoofs), 2 And scouring to the raid at dawn 3 Stirring up thereby [clouds of] dust, 4 thereby storming [blindly] into any host! 5 Most surely man is ungrateful to his Lord. 6 And most surely he is a witness of that. 7 And violent is he in his love of wealth. 8 ۞ But does he not know that [on the Last Day,] when all that is in the graves is raised and brought out, 9 And all what lies in the breasts is opened – 10 Surely their Lord will be aware of their (deeds). 11

True are the words of God the Almighty.
