The Key (Al-Faatehah)

7 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Hidden Secret (Al-Muddath-thir) before Thorns (Al-Masad)

In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful 1

ALL PRAISE BE to Allah, Lord of all the worlds, 2 the Merciful, the Most Merciful, 3 The Only Owner (and the Only Ruling Judge) of the Day of Recompense (i.e. the Day of Resurrection) 4 Thee do we serve and Thee do we beseech for help. 5 Guide us (O Lord) to the path that is straight, 6 The path of those whom You have favoured – Not the path of those who earned Your anger – nor of those who are astray. 7

Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
