And indeed, We created man from sounding clay of altered black smooth mud. 26 and the jinn created We before of fire flaming. 27 When your Lord said to the angels: 'See, I am creating a mortal from clay of molded mud. 28 “Therefore when I have properly fashioned him and breathed into him a chosen noble soul from Myself, fall down before him in prostration.” 29 So, the angels prostrated themselves, all of them together. 30 save Iblis: he refused to be among those who prostrated themselves. 31 God asked him, "What is the matter with you, that you are not among those who have prostrated themselves?" 32 He said, "Never would I prostrate to a human whom You created out of clay from an altered black mud." 33 Said Allah, “Therefore exit from Paradise, for you are an outcast.” 34 “And indeed you are accursed till the Day of Judgement.” 35 He said: 'My Lord, reprieve me till the Day they are raised' 36 Said He, 'Thou art among the ones that are respited 37 “Till the Day of a well-known time.” 38 [Iblees] said, "My Lord, because You have put me in error, I will surely make [disobedience] attractive to them on earth, and I will mislead them all 39 excepting those Thy servants among them that are devoted. 40 (Allah) said: "This (way of My sincere servants) is indeed a way that leads straight to Me. 41 Over My true servants you will be able to exercise no power, your power will be confined to the erring ones, those who choose to follow you. 42 "And surely, Hell is the promised place for them all. 43 It hath seven gates, and each gate hath an appointed portion. 44
