(Remember) the day when We will call every people with their Imam; then whoever is given his book in his right hand, these shall read their book; and they shall not be dealt with a whit unjustly. 71 Whoso is blind here will be blind in the Hereafter, and yet further from the road. 72 And verily they had well-nigh tempted thee away from that which We have revealed unto thee, that thou shouldst fabricate regarding something else; and then surely they would have taken thee as a friend! 73 If We had not made you stand firm, you would almost have inclined towards them a little. 74 whereupon We would have made you taste double (the chastisement) in the world and double (the chastisement) after death, and then you would have found none to help you against Us. 75 They very nearly provoked you to drive you out of the land, but they would have only lingered for a little while after you. 76 This was Our tradition with Our Messengers who lived before you, and you will find no change in Our tradition. 77
