The people of al-Hijr also rejected Our messengers: 80 And we gave them Our revelations, but they were averse to them. 81 They were hewing the mountains into houses, therein dwelling securely; 82 But the Shout seized them in the morning, 83 And that which they were wont to count as gain availed them not. 84 And We have not created the heavens and earth and that between them except in truth. And indeed, the Hour is coming; so forgive with gracious forgiveness. 85 Surely your Lord is the All Knowing Creator! 86 AND, INDEED, We have bestowed upon thee seven of the oft repeated [verses,] and [have, thus, laid open before thee] this sublime Qur'an: 87 Do not even cast your eyes towards the worldly goods We have granted to different kinds of people, nor grieve over the state they are in, but turn your loving attention to the believers instead, 88 And say, "Indeed, I am the clear warner" - 89 (We have given you the Quran) as We had given (the Bible) to those who divided themselves into groups 90 Those who break the Qur'an into parts. 91 But, by thy Sustainer! [On the Day of Judgment] We shall indeed call them to account, one and all, 92 For all that they used to do. 93 Hence, proclaim openly all that thou hast been bidden [to say,] and leave alone all those who ascribe divinity to aught beside God: 94 Truly! We will suffice you against the scoffers. 95 Who place other gods besides God. They will come to know soon. 96 And We already know that your breast is constrained by what they say. 97 Exalt with the praise of your Lord and be one of those who prostrate. 98 And serve thy Lord till the Inevitable cometh unto thee. 99
