Have you not seen how We send down to the unbelievers satans who prick them? 83 So hasten thou not against them; We are only counting against them a counting. 84 The day on which We will gather those who guard (against evil) to the Beneficent Allah to receive honors 85 And We shall drive the sinners to Hell, like thirsty cattle driven down to water,- 86 no one will be able to intercede for the others except those whom the Beneficent God has given authority. 87 And they say: "The Most Beneficent (Allah) has begotten a son (or offspring or children) [as the Jews say: 'Uzair (Ezra) is the son of Allah, and the Christians say that He has begotten a son ['Iesa (Christ)], and the pagan Arabs say that He has begotten daughters (angels, etc.)]." 88 You have indeed advanced something hideous! 89 The heavens may almost be rent thereat, and the earth cleave asunder, and the mountains fall down in pieces, 90 at their ascribing a son to the Most Compassionate Lord. 91 It is not for the Merciful to take a son! 92 There is none in the heavens and the earth but comes unto the Most Beneficent (Allah) as a slave. 93 He has enumerated them and counted them a [full] counting. 94 and every one of them will appear before Him on Resurrection Day in a lonely state. 95 Indeed those who believed and did good deeds – the Most Gracious will appoint love for them. (In the hearts of other believers.) 96 And We make (this Scripture) easy in thy tongue, (O Muhammad) only that thou mayst bear good tidings therewith unto those who ward off (evil), and warn therewith the froward folk. 97 And how many a generation before them have We destroyed! Canst thou (Muhammad) see a single man of them, or hear from them the slightest sound? 98
