Moses said, "Lord, grant me courage. 25 and ease my task for me. 26 "And remove the impediment from my speech, 27 so that they may understand my speech, 28 Appoint for me a henchman from my folk, 29 Aaron, my brother. 30 Add Thou through him to my strength, 31 And associate him in my affair. 32 That we may glorify Thee much 33 and remember Thee without cease! 34 Verily, Thou seest all that is within us!" 35 He said: surely thou art granted thy petition, O Musa! 36 "And indeed We conferred a favour on you another time (before). 37 Remember when We inspired your mother with a certain inspiration 38 saying: "Put him in the box and cast it into the river. The river will cast him on to the bank, and he shall be taken up by an enemy of Mine and an enemy of his." I lavished My Love on you, and to be formed in My Sight. 39 Your sister went to them and said, "May I show you someone who will nurse this child?" We returned you to your mother to make her rejoice and forget her grief. You slew a man and We saved you from trouble. We tried you through various trials. Then you stayed some years with the people of Midian (Shu'ayb and his family) and after that you came back to Egypt as was ordained. 40 And I have attached thee to Myself. 41 Go, you and your brother with My signs, and do not be negligent of My Remembrance. 42 Then go to the Pharaoh as he has become exceedingly rebellious. 43 yet speak gently to him, that haply he may be mindful, or perchance fear.' 44 They both said, "Our Lord, We fear that he may commit some excess against us, or exceed all bounds in transgression." 45 He said, “Do not fear – I am with you, All Hearing and All Seeing.” 46 Go to him and say, 'We are both messengers from your Lord. Let the Children of Israel go with us, and do not oppress them. We have brought you a Sign from your Lord, and may peace be upon whoever follows the right guidance; 47 it has been revealed to us that punishment shall overtake him who rejects it and turns away!'" 48 He (Pharaoh) said: 'Moses, who is the Lord of you both' 49 He said, 'Our Lord is He who gave everything its creation, then guided it.' 50 (Pharaoh) said: "What then is the condition of previous generations?" 51 [Moses] said, "The knowledge thereof is with my Lord in a record. My Lord neither errs nor forgets." 52 It is He who made the earth a bed for you, and traced for you paths upon it, and sends down water from the sky, and brings out through it every kind of vegetation 53 Eat and pasture your cattle: verily therein are signs for men of sagacity. 54
