Messengers! Partake of the things that are clean, and act righteously. I know well all that you do. 51 Your religion is one and I am your Lord. Have fear of Me". 52 But their nations broke their tasks into pieces; every group happy with what it has. 53 Therefore leave them in their overwhelming ignorance till 54 Do they fancy that Our continuing to give them wealth and children (means) that 55 We hasten unto them with good things (in this worldly life so that they will have no share of good things in the Hereafter)? Nay, but they perceive not. 56 Verily, [only] they who stand in reverent awe of their Sustainer, 57 who have full faith in the Signs of their Lord; 58 And those who with their Lord associate not anyone. 59 And those who give that (their charity) which they give (and also do other good deeds) with their hearts full of fear (whether their alms and charities, etc., have been accepted or not), because they are sure to return to their Lord (for reckoning). 60 These people hasten to perform goodness, and it is they who shall reach it first. 61 We do not impose on any soul what is beyond its capacity. We have the Book which speaks the truth and no injustice will be done to it. 62 Nay, their hearts are lost in ignorance of all this; and their deeds too vary from the way (mentioned above). They will persist in these deeds 63 To the extent that when We seized the wealthy among them with punishment, they immediately began imploring. 64 Invoke not loudly this day! Certainly, you shall not be helped by Us. 65 Time and again were My messages conveyed unto you, but [every time] you would turn about on your heels 66 “Priding yourself in serving the Sacred Mosque; at night you utter indecent stories in it, while discarding the truth.” 67 Should they not think upon the saying? Or, did anything come upon them that had not come upon their ancient forefathers? 68 Or is it that they did not recognise their Noble Messenger, therefore they consider him alien? 69 Or do they say, "He is possessed"? Nay, he has brought them the Truth, but most of them hate the Truth. 70 Had the truth followed their desires, the heavens and the earth and all that is in them would have been destroyed. We sent them the Quran but they ignored it. 71 (Do they disbelieve because) you asked them for payment? The reward that you will receive from your Lord is the best. He is the best Provider. 72 Indeed you are calling them to a Straight Path, 73 And verily those who believe not in the Hereafter are deviating from that Way. 74 ۞ And if We have mercy upon them and remove the calamity which has befallen them, they would still stubbornly persist, wandering in their rebellion. 75 Already We have seized them with the punishment, but they neither humbled themselves to their Lord, nor did they beseech Him, 76 To the extent that when We opened the gate of a severe punishment for them, they thereupon lie despairingly in it. 77
