Say: O my Lord! if Thou shouldst make me see what they are threatened with: 93 O my Lord, put me not among the people of the evildoers.' 94 And verily We are Able to show thee that which We have promised them. 95 Repel thou the evil with that which is the best, We are the Best Knower of that which they utter. 96 And pray: "My Lord! I seek Your refuge from the suggestions of the evil ones; 97 "And I seek refuge with You, My Lord! lest they may attend (or come near) me." 98 Until, when death cometh unto one of them, he saith: My Lord! Send me back, 99 so that I may do good works in the world I have left behind." Never! It is indeed but a meaningless word that he utters. A barrier shall stand behind such people till the Day they are raised up again. 100 When the trumpet is blown, on that Day there will be no ties of relationship between them; neither will they ask about one another: 101 Then those whose balance (of good deeds) is heavy,- they will attain salvation: 102 And those whose scales are light are those who lose their souls, in hell abiding. 103 The fire shall scorch their faces, and they therein shall be in severe affliction. 104 "Were not My messages read out to you? But you denied them." 105 They will say, “Our Lord! Our ill-fate overcame us, and we were the astray people.” 106 “Our Lord, remove us from hell – then if we do the same, we are the unjust.” 107 He saith: Begone therein, and speak not unto Me. 108 Verily! There was a party of My slaves, who used to say: "Our Lord! We believe, so forgive us, and have mercy on us, for You are the Best of all who show mercy!" 109 Then ye took them mockingly, so that they caused you to forget remembrance of Me, and at them ye were wont to laugh. 110 [But,] behold, today I have rewarded them for their patience in adversity: verily, it is they, they who have achieved a triumph!" 111 He will ask, "How many years did you stay on earth?" 112 They will say: we tarried a day or part of a day; ask those who keep count. 113 He will say: "Ye stayed not but a little,- if ye had only known! 114 Then did you think that We created you uselessly and that to Us you would not be returned?" 115 Then high exalted be God, the King, the True! There is no god but He? the Lord of the noble Throne. 116 Whosoever calls upon another god, other than Allah, having no proof his reckoning will be with his Lord. The unbelievers shall never prosper. 117 Hence, [O believer,] say: "O my Sustainer! Grant [me] forgiveness and bestow Thy mercy [upon me]: for Thou art the truest bestower of mercy!" 118
