Say, [O Muhammad], "My Lord, if You should show me that which they are promised, 93 My Lord! then set me not among the wrongdoing folk. 94 We have certainly the power to make you see what We have promised them. 95 Repel evil with what is best, We are well aware of the things they say, 96 And say: "O my Sustainer! I seek refuge with Thee from the promptings of all evil impulses; 97 And I seek refuge with Thee, my Lord! lest they may be present with me. 98 When death approaches one of the unbelievers, he says, "Lord, send me back again 99 haply I shall do righteousness in that I forsook.' Nay, it is but a word he speaks; and there; behind them, is a barrier until the day that they shall be raised up. 100 When the trumpet is blown, on that Day there will be no ties of relationship between them; neither will they ask about one another: 101 Then he whose scales are heavy -- they are the prosperers, 102 But those whose scales are light - those are the ones who have lost their souls, [being] in Hell, abiding eternally. 103 The fire lashes their faces and therein are shriveled lips. 104 Were not My communications recited to you? But you used to reject them. 105 They will say: "our Lord! Our misfortune overwhelmed us, and we became a people astray! 106 Our Lord! Oh, bring us forth from hence! If we return (to evil) then indeed we shall be wrong-doers. 107 He will say, "Remain despised therein and do not speak to Me. 108 "A part of My servants there was, who used to pray 'our Lord! we believe; then do Thou forgive us, and have mercy upon us: For Thou art the Best of those who show mercy!" 109 But you took them for a laughingstock, so much so that they made you forget My Remembrance while you used to laugh at them! 110 Indeed, I have rewarded them this Day for their patient endurance - that they are the attainers [of success]." 111 They will be asked: "How long did you live on the earth in terms of years?" 112 They will reply: 'A day, or part of a day; ask those who have kept count' 113 He will say, “You stayed but only a little, if you knew.” 114 Deemed ye then that We had created you for naught, and that ye would not be returned unto Us? 115 [KNOW,] then, [that] God is sublimely exalted, the Ultimate Sovereign, the Ultimate Truth: there is no deity save Him, the Sustainer, in bountiful almightiness enthroned! 116 He who crieth unto any other god along with Allah hath no proof thereof. His reckoning is only with his Lord. Lo! disbelievers will not be successful. 117 Say: "My Lord, forgive and have mercy. You are the best of the merciful." 118
