When your Lord called out to Moses, saying, "Go to the wrongdoing people, 10 The people of Pharaoh. Will they not fear and take heed?" 11 He said: My Lord! Lo! I fear that they will deny me, 12 and then my breast will be straitened and my tongue will not be free: send, then, [this Thy command] to Aaron. 13 They have charged me [with a crime] for which I am afraid they will kill me." 14 He said, “Not like this (any more); both of you go with Our signs, We are with you, All Hearing.” 15 Go to the Pharaoh and tell him: 'We bring a message from the Lord of all the worlds 16 Then send with us the children of Israel. 17 [Fir'aun (Pharaoh)] said [to Musa (Moses)]: "Did we not bring you up among us as a child? And you did dwell many years of your life with us. 18 Yet you were ungrateful and have done the deed you did' 19 Moses said, "I did do it and I made a mistake. 20 So I ran away from you out of fear. But my Lord has given me wisdom, and made me an apostle. 21 And is it a favor of which you remind me that you have enslaved the children of Israel? 22 Pharaoh said, 'And what is the Lord of all Being?' 23 (Moses) said: "The Lord of the heavens and the earth and all that lies between them, if you can believe." 24 Said [Pharaoh] unto those around him: "Did you hear [what he said]?" 25 Moses said: "(He is) Your Lord and the Lord of your forefathers of yore." 26 (Pharaoh) said: 'Surely, the Messenger who has been sent to you is mad!' 27 [Moses] said, "Lord of the east and the west and that between them, if you were to reason." 28 Fir'awn said: if thou wilt take a god other than me, I shall surely place thee among the prisoners. 29 'What, even if I brought you something clear' said he (Moses). 30 [Pharaoh] said, "Then bring it, if you should be of the truthful." 31 So Moses threw down his staff and suddenly it appeared as a serpent, plainly visible. 32 And he drew forth his hand, thereupon it shone bright before the beholders. 33
