The All Compassionate (Al-Rahman)
78 verses, revealed in Medina after Thunder (Al-Ra'ad) before The Human (Al-Insan)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ THE MOST GRACIOUS 1 Taught the Qur'an, 2 He created man 3 Taught him the mode of expression. 4 The sun and the moon follow a reckoning. 5 and the stars and the trees all prostrate themselves, 6 He raised the sky and set the Balance 7 that you may not transgress in the balance, 8 weigh, therefore, [your deeds] with equity, and cut not the measure short! 9 And the earth He laid [out] for the creatures. 10 with fruit thereon, and palm trees with sheathed clusters [of dates,] 11 and grain in the blade, and fragrant herbs. 12 (Jinn and mankind) - which of the favors of your Lord do you deny? 13 He created man of a clay like the potter's, 14 And the jinn did He create of smokeless fire. 15 How many favours of your Lord will you then deny? 16 Lord of the two Easts, and Lord of the two Wests! 17 Then which of the Blessings of your Lord will you both (jinns and men) deny? 18 He has made the two seas to flow freely (so that) they meet together: 19 Between them is a Barrier which they do not transgress: 20 Which of the wonders of your Lord will you twain – you men and jinn – then deny? 21 Out of them come Pearls and Coral: 22 So O men and jinns! Which favour of your Lord will you deny? 23 And His are the ships going and coming in the seas, like mountains. 24 Which of your Lord's wonders would you deny? 25

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
