The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
By the sky, (displaying) the Zodiacal Signs; 1 By the Promised Day! 2 By one that witnesses, and the subject of the witness;- 3 Cursed be the makers of the pit, 4 The people of the fuelled blazing fire. 5 while they sat around it, 6 and were witnessing what they did to the believers. 7 And they did not take vengeance on them for aught except that they believed in Allah, the Mighty, the Praised, 8 to Whom belongs the dominion of the heavens and the earth. Allah witnesses everything. 9 Surely for those who persecute believers, men and women, and do not repent afterwards, is the punishment of Hell, and the punishment of burning. 10 For those who believe and do righteous deeds, will be Gardens; beneath which rivers flow: That is the great Salvation, (the fulfilment of all desires), 11 The grip of your Lord is indeed severe, 12 Verily, He it is Who begins (punishment) and repeats (punishment in the Hereafter) (or originates the creation of everything, and then repeats it on the Day of Resurrection). 13 and He is the Forgiving and Loving One. 14 Owner of the throne, the Glorious 15 a sovereign doer of whatever He wills. 16 Has it come to you the story of the hosts 17 Pharaoh and Thamood? 18 But they who disbelieve are in [persistent] denial, 19 God encompasses them from all sides. 20 But this is an honored Qur'an 21 Inscribed in a tablet preserved. 22
