The Spider (Al-Ankaboot)

In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ Alif Lam Mim. 1 Do men fancy that they will be left just upon their declaring, “We believe”, and they will not be tested? 2 Lo! We tested those who were before you. Thus Allah knoweth those who are sincere, and knoweth those who feign. 3 Do those who practise evil think that they will get the better of Us? Evil is their judgment! 4 Whoever should hope for the meeting with Allah - indeed, the term decreed by Allah is coming. And He is the Hearing, the Knowing. 5 And whoever strives, strives only for himself, God is independent of all His creation, 6 And those who accepted faith and did good deeds – We will indeed relieve their sins and reward them for the best of their deeds. 7 And We have enjoined upon man goodness to parents. But if they endeavor to make you associate with Me that of which you have no knowledge, do not obey them. To Me is your return, and I will inform you about what you used to do. 8 And those who believe and do righteous deeds - We will surely admit them among the righteous [into Paradise]. 9 And among men is he who says: We believe in Allah; but when he is persecuted in (the way of) Allah he thinks the persecution of men to be as the chastisement of Allah; and if there come assistance from your Lord, they would most certainly say: Surely we were with you. What! is not Allah the best knower of what is in the breasts of mankind. 10 And most certainly Allah will know those who believe and most certainly He will know the hypocrites. 11 And those who disbelieve say unto those who believe: follow our way, and we shall surely bear your sins; whereas they shall not bear aught of their sins; verily they are the liars. 12 Besides the other burdens that they will have to carry, they will certainly be loaded with the burden of their own sins. They will be questioned on the Day of Judgment about what they had falsely invented. 13

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
